Physical Therapist Oncology (PT Oncology) - Summary
- Provide evidence-based physical therapy services for oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and recovery.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the physical therapy needs of oncology patients.
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans to restore or improve strength, mobility, and function.
- Administer therapeutic interventions and monitor progress in accordance with the oncology care team’s recommendations.
- Educate patients, families, and staff about the benefits of physical therapy in cancer recovery and survivorship.
- Maintain accurate documentation, charge posting, and compliance with departmental procedures.
- Perform ancillary tasks, including clerical support and maintaining a safe, efficient rehabilitation environment.
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and contribute to the overall care plan.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program or equivalent educational background.
- Current temporary or permanent state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist Oncology (PT Oncology).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Preferred: At least 3 years of experience in oncology or acute care settings.
