Job Description:
At Elara Caring, our Physical Therapist Assistants play an essential role in helping patients regain independence through individualized care delivered at home. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, following established plans of care, and applying your expertise to promote mobility and improve quality of life.
- Perform direct physical therapy services following established standards and physician-certified care plans.
- Work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, reporting any patient status changes promptly.
- Follow state practice guidelines and maintain accurate documentation.
- Incorporate patient goals into every therapy session to ensure measurable progress.
- Educate patients and families on the safe use of assistive devices and home therapy programs.
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting, transferring, and supporting patients up to 50 pounds.
- Travel within assigned branch coverage area as required.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid in the state of employment.
- Minimum of 6 months prior experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% within coverage area.
