Job Description:
At Elara Caring, our Physical Therapist Assistants help patients receive care where they live, providing high-quality therapy as directed by a Physical Therapist and the Plan of Care. Responsibilities include performing direct physical therapy services according to physician orders and established standards, verifying and incorporating patient care goals, instructing patients and families on proper use of assistive devices and home exercise programs, and ensuring quality and continuity of care. Candidates must adhere to the State Practice Act Guidelines and promote Elara Carings mission and philosophy.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
- 6+ months experience preferred.
- Must have dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
- Able and willing to travel within branch area (up to 50%).
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds.
