Responsibilities:
- Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission, and policies to ensure quality of care.
- Performs direct physical therapy services according to accepted practice standards and physician certification.
- Follows the Plan of Care established by a supervising Physical Therapist and reports changes in patient status.
- Adheres to State Practice Act Guidelines and verifies the Plan of Care before each visit.
- Incorporates patient care goals into therapy sessions and instructs patients/caregivers in home programs.
- Guides patients and families on safe use of assistive devices like walkers, canes, and wheelchairs.
- Works in a physically demanding environment requiring the ability to lift and transfer patients.
- May work irregular hours including call hours as needed.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license for the state of practice.
- At least 6 months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the branch coverage area (up to 50%).
- Requires dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds.
