Job Description:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, youll contribute to our success by providing high-quality care to patients in their home setting. You'll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring that treatment plans are followed accurately and efficiently.
- Promote Elara Carings philosophy, mission, and policies to ensure quality of care.
- Provide direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards and physician orders.
- Follow and execute Plans of Care established by the Physical Therapist, reporting any changes in patient condition.
- Adhere to State Practice Act Guidelines and professional standards.
- Verify Plan of Care prior to each visit and provide care per physician orders.
- Incorporate patient goals into care and document progress accordingly.
- Instruct patients and families on safe use of assistive devices and home exercise programs.
- Maintain full range of body motion, handle transfers of patients, and work in physically demanding environments.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of employment.
- At least 6 months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Must be willing to travel within assigned coverage area (up to 50%).
- Must have a valid drivers license, dependable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- Able to lift 50-100 lbs, stand, bend, and move intermittently.
