As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll promote Elara Carings philosophy and mission to ensure quality care. You will perform direct physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and according to a physician-approved Plan of Care. Responsibilities include incorporating patient care goals, instructing patients and families in proper use of assistive devices, and providing home therapy programs. The position requires adherence to State Practice Act Guidelines, verifying and following the Plan of Care, and maintaining high standards of practice.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license for the state of work.
- 6+ months of experience as a PTA preferred.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and auto insurance required.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within coverage area.
