Job Description:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will provide direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and certified by the patients physician. You will follow the Plan of Care established by a supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring proper reporting of changes in patient status.
- Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
- Performs physical therapy services to ensure quality and continuity of care.
- Follows Plan of Care and adheres to State Practice Act Guidelines.
- Verifies Plan of Care prior to each visit and provides care per physicians orders and standards.
- Instructs patients and families in safe use of assistive devices and therapy home programs.
- Requires physical ability to handle, lift, and transfer patients.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license for the state of work.
- Minimum 6 months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel within branch coverage area.
- Dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
- Able to lift and support up to 50 pounds.
