Responsibilities:
- Promote Elara Carings philosophy, mission, and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
- Perform direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and patients physician orders.
- Follow and verify Plan of Care as established and supervised by a Physical Therapist.
- Adhere to the State Practice Act Guidelines and established standards.
- Incorporate patient care goals into therapy and home program training.
- Instruct patients and caregivers on safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
- Work in a physically demanding environment requiring lifting, transferring patients, and positioning.
- May work irregular hours including call hours when applicable.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
- 6+ months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Valid drivers license, dependable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- Able and willing to travel within the assigned coverage area, up to 50%.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds.
