Physical Therapist Assistant
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, youll contribute to our success in the following ways:
- Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement, and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
- Performs direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and certified by the patients physician.
- Follows Plan of Care as established by the supervising Physical Therapist and reports changes in status.
- Adheres to State Practice Act Guidelines.
- Provides care according to physicians orders, assessment data, and established standards and guidelines.
- Incorporates patient care goals into therapy care and instructs patients or caregivers in safe use of assistive devices.
- Teaches home therapy programs to patients and caregivers.
- Requires ability to lift, handle, and transfer patients and equipment safely.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license for the state of work.
- 6+ months of Physical Therapist Assistant experience preferred.
- Must have dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
- Willing and able to travel within the assigned branch/office area (up to 50%).
