Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Summary
- Deliver hands-on physical therapy interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist
- Promote the organization’s mission, vision, and values in all patient interactions

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Follow the established Plan of Care for each patient and communicate changes in patient status to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Adhere to State Practice Act Guidelines and organizational policies to ensure legal and ethical practice
- Verify the Plan of Care prior to each patient visit and deliver care according to physician orders, assessment data, and established protocols
- Incorporate patient-specific goals into therapy interventions and monitor progress toward achievement
- Educate patients and their families on the proper use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices
- Provide instruction to patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of all therapy services provided
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity and coordination of care

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program approved by the American Therapy Association
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of employment
- At least 6 months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel within the coverage area as required
- Dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance in accordance with state laws
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs and perform duties in a physically demanding environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices
