Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Summary
- Supports Physical Therapists in delivering evidence-based physical therapy services.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Promote the organization's philosophy, mission, and policies to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Deliver direct physical therapy services as prescribed, following accepted standards of practice.
- Closely follow the Plan of Care established by the Physical Therapist and communicate changes in patient status.
- Verify and adhere to the Plan of Care before each patient visit, providing care as per physician orders and assessment data.
- Incorporate patient care goals into all therapy interventions.
- Educate patients and families on the safe and effective use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
- Deliver clear instructions for home-based therapy programs to patients and caregivers.
- Work in environments that may be physically demanding and high stress, including handling, lifting, and transferring patients.
- Maintain compliance with state practice act guidelines and professional standards.
- Participate in irregular work hours or call coverage as needed based on patient needs.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid in the state of practice.
- Minimum of six months' experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred, though all qualified applicants will be considered.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned coverage area as required by patient needs.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and active auto insurance.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including safe patient handling and equipment movement.
