Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Summary
- Deliver direct physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with a physician-approved Plan of Care.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Incorporate patient care goals into daily therapy activities and adjust approaches as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on the proper use of assistive devices, safety techniques, and home exercise programs.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team.
- Adhere to State Practice Act Guidelines and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with organizational and legal standards.
- Provide compassionate support to patients and families, addressing concerns and fostering adherence to therapy plans.
- Travel within the assigned coverage area to deliver in-home therapy services as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of employment.
- Six or more months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must have a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned coverage area.
