Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Summary
- Implements physical therapy interventions as outlined by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Delivers care in accordance with physician orders and established standards of practice.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care based on the supervising Physical Therapist’s Plan of Care.
- Monitor, document, and report changes in patient status promptly to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Verify the Plan of Care prior to each visit, ensuring all care is delivered according to physician directives.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, the safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices, and overall therapy goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Follow all state practice act regulations and organizational policies for the provision of physical therapy services.
- Assist in coordinating care with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain the physical capability to lift, transfer, and move patients and equipment as required by patient care plans.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Active, unrestricted PTA license valid in the state of employment.
- At least six months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the designated service area as needed.
- Possession of a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and up-to-date auto insurance.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
