Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Summary

- Instruct patients and family members in the safe and effective use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
- Educate patients and caregivers about home therapy programs to encourage continued progress between visits.
- Adhere strictly to State Practice Act Guidelines for physical therapy assistants.
- Work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to ensure quality and continuity of care for all assigned patients.
- Document all therapy interventions, patient responses, and progress notes accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Current and unrestricted PTA license valid for the relevant state.
- Six months or more of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds as required for patient care activities.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the designated service area as part of the home health team.
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable vehicle required for travel to patient locations.
