Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Summary
- Work collaboratively with licensed Physical Therapists in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Assist in providing high-quality, individualized patient care focused on improving mobility and function

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve mobility and relieve pain
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of various treatment modalities to support patient care
- Provide support in areas such as occupational health, acute care, orthopedics, geriatrics, and trigger point therapy
- Conduct screenings of residents as scheduled for referral to Physical Therapist
- Contribute objective data to Physical Therapists as allowed by scope of practice
- Provide Physical Therapy treatment to residents when indicated per the plan of care
- Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehabilitation department and overall facility goals

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- CPR Certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficient in the use of computers and technology as related to patient care documentation
