As a Physical Therapist Assistant, youll contribute to our success in the following ways:
- Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
- Performs direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and certified by the patients physician.
- Follows Plan of Care as established by Physical Therapist and reports any changes in status back to the Physical Therapist.
- Adheres to State Practice Act Guidelines.
- Provides care according to physicians orders, assessment data, and established standards.
- Incorporates patient care goals established in the Plan of Care into therapy care.
- Instructs patients and families in appropriate and safe use of assistive devices.
- Instructs the patient and caregiver in the therapy home program.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
- 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Able and willing to travel within branch coverage area.
- Valid drivers license, dependable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- Able to lift 50100 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
