In this Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position, you will be responsible for promoting the organization’s philosophy and mission, ensuring that every patient receives care in alignment with these values. Patient and caregiver education is also a key aspect of this role, where you will instruct on the safe use of assistive devices and therapy home programs.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you may work in a physically demanding and sometimes high-stress environment that includes handling, lifting, and transferring patients. Flexibility in work hours, including the possibility of irregular or on-call shifts, may be required to meet patient needs. The position may also require travel within the branch or office coverage area, so dependable transportation is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to patients according to the plan of care and physician’s orders
- Verify and review the plan of care before each patient visit to ensure accurate therapy implementation
- Monitor and communicate patient progress or changes in status to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use of assistive devices and therapy home programs
- Uphold State Practice Act Guidelines and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards
- Promote safe patient mobility, including handling, lifting, and transferring as needed
- Work variable or irregular hours when required to meet patient and organizational needs

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid in the state of employment
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel within the designated branch or office coverage area (up to 50%)
- Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance required
- Physical ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds
