Physiatrist (PM&R) - Summary
- Provide comprehensive medical care in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of physical, musculoskeletal, and neurological disorders.
- Deliver both inpatient and outpatient care, specializing in acute and chronic rehabilitation services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with physical impairments or disabilities.
- Design, coordinate, and implement personalized rehabilitation programs.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to ensure integrated care.
- Prescribe and monitor therapeutic interventions, including medications and physical modalities.
- Perform electrodiagnostic studies and other assessments as needed.
- Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, progress, and home care strategies.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- Valid and unrestricted medical license.
- Demonstrated experience in rehabilitation medicine, acute care, or related settings.
