As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Phlebotomy Technician will play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient blood collection and donor care in partnership with the Defense Health Agency. The Phlebotomy Technician is responsible for screening and evaluating potential blood donors, ensuring compliance with Food and Drug Administration regulations, AABB standards, and Armed Services Blood Program guidelines. You will oversee all aspects of the donor process, from medical history review and documentation to blood collection, apheresis procedures, and post-donation monitoring. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring donor safety are central to this role, as is supporting recruitment efforts to encourage future donations.

Key responsibilities include:

This role requires physical capability to lift and move equipment or supplies up to 50 lbs, including blood boxes and mobile collection equipment. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and twisting are integral to the daily workflow. The position follows a Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm schedule, providing a stable routine with opportunities to interact closely with a diverse donor population.
