As a Pest Control Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and comfort of both residential and commercial clients by delivering effective pest control solutions throughout the Virginia Beach area.
Key Responsibilities- Perform pest control services at client locations, including homes and businesses, to address and resolve various pest issues.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and surrounding grounds to identify pest problems and recommend suitable treatments.
- Measure dimensions of treatment areas to ensure accurate application and effective pest management.
- Set traps and baits in targeted and surrounding areas to capture or eliminate pests.
- Mix pesticides according to precise specifications for each pest type and location, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices.
- Safely apply pesticides in and around customer properties while prioritizing safety and minimizing environmental impact.
- Physically remove trapped or exterminated pests as necessary for complete service delivery.
- Implement preventative measures using materials such as wood and foam to reduce the likelihood of pest re-entry.
- Identify and promote upselling opportunities, including ongoing service contracts, to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work vehicles, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stocked and ready for use.
- Provide clients with accurate cost estimates for pest control services rendered.
- Coordinate service appointments with customers and address any concerns or complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
- Accurately log billable hours using time tracking applications as required by company procedures.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Basic math skills for precise measurement and chemical mixing.
- Physical capability to kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
