Perfusionist (CCP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, operate, and monitor cardiopulmonary bypass equipment during surgical procedures.
- Administer blood products, medications, and fluids as required by the surgical team.
- Monitor patient physiological parameters and adjust perfusion equipment settings accordingly.
- Participate in preoperative planning and post-operative care discussions with the surgical team.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all perfusion-related activities and interventions.
- Regularly inspect, calibrate, and service perfusion equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
- Follow established protocols and quality assurance measures to minimize risk and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in perfusion technology or a related biomedical field required.
- Certification as a Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) or eligibility to obtain such certification.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating and troubleshooting perfusion equipment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
