As a Perfusionist (CCP), you will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care during open-heart surgeries and related procedures. This assignment offers stability, hands-on experience with coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) and valve surgeries, and the chance to collaborate with a skilled and supportive team in a small but high-performing program.
The Perfusionist (CCP) position is scheduled to begin on September 1 and will conclude on December 31. The program averages approximately 80 heart surgeries annually, so while call-back demands are typically minimal, the role offers a balanced blend of routine and on-call work. The call schedule is shared evenly among team members, with one week on call 24/7 followed by one week off call focusing on scheduled cases only. All extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) cases are referred elsewhere, streamlining the caseload and allowing specialized focus on CABG and valve procedures.
