Performance Tester Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Performance Tester to join our remote quality assurance (QA) team. Key Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive performance testing scenarios on a range of applications, monitoring essential metrics such as application load times, server response times, and CPU or memory utilization.
- Leverage performance monitoring tools and advanced testing techniques to effectively identify bottlenecks, performance degradation, and areas requiring optimization.
- Document identified performance issues with precise quantitative data, step-by-step reproduction instructions, and detailed environmental context to ensure clarity and reproducibility.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and development teams to share findings, discuss technical challenges, and work together toward resolving performance-related issues.
- Prepare and submit thorough reports highlighting performance benchmarks, discovered issues, and clear, actionable recommendations for ongoing application optimization.
- Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to focus on performance aspects of software applications.
- Familiarity with established performance testing methodologies and industry-standard tools for monitoring and evaluation.
- Previous experience in performance testing, quality assurance, or a closely related field that emphasizes application optimization is highly preferred.
- Reliable, high-speed internet connection and access to computing resources capable of supporting robust application testing.
- Ability to interpret complex performance data and translate technical findings into actionable feedback for engineering teams.
