The PeopleSoft Financials Analyst (CAPPS GL Analyst) is a key member of a dynamic team supporting a statewide ERP environment, specializing in the General Ledger (GL), Commitment Control, Budgeting, and related modules within the CAPPS financial system. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining core modules such as GL, Commitment Control, Budgeting, and Cash Receipts. You will be tasked with providing functional leadership by configuring modules, troubleshooting issues, and resolving complex problems to maintain system reliability. The analyst will coordinate testing activities, manage change requests, and oversee system enhancements to streamline processes. Additionally, collaboration with other functional teams and ensuring adherence to established policies are central to this role. Your contributions will extend to user training, generating analytics reports, and supporting release management, all of which are crucial for optimal system operation and end-user satisfaction.

This role calls for extensive knowledge of State of Texas policies and technical proficiency in tools such as App Designer, Integration Broker, SQR/SQL, BI Publisher, and SAP Business Objects. You will be expected to provide oversight for batch jobs, including tasks like Run My Jobs (RMJ), and to demonstrate a deep understanding of security best practices, NIST standards, and multi-tenancy considerations in a statewide ERP context. Experience with the General Ledger and Commitment Control core module of PeopleSoft FSCM version 9.2 is essential for success in this position. The analyst will also be involved in reporting and analytics, contributing to the organization’s strategic goals by delivering actionable insights from financial data.
