Pediatrician (MD/DO, ABP Board Certified) - Summary
The Pediatrician (MD/DO, ABP Board Certified) provides comprehensive healthcare to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults, focusing on preventive medicine, acute and chronic disease management, and family education. This role collaborates with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure the highest standards of care, while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic medical care for patients from infancy through young adulthood.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments to identify acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for a range of pediatric health concerns.
- Administer immunizations, provide well-child care, and conduct routine health screenings.
- Educate patients and families about disease prevention, nutrition, health maintenance, and treatment compliance.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab results.
- Maintain precise and timely electronic medical records in accordance with legal, regulatory, and organizational guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals to provide coordinated, holistic care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and deliver appropriate interventions and follow-up care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, adhering to established clinical policies and evidence-based best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
- Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) is required.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted medical license to practice.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, or position pediatric patients, respond to emergencies, and perform clinical procedures safely.
