Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the VAD Program, coordinating outpatient care for pediatric patients with ventricular assist devices
- Collaborate with the Heart Failure/Transplant team to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care
- Evaluate, monitor, and manage patients before, during, and after VAD implantation
- Participate in family education, ensuring patients and caregivers understand device management, care protocols, and follow-up requirements
- Contribute to the development and revision of clinical guidelines and protocols for VAD management
- Participate in clinical research, quality improvement projects, and ongoing professional education initiatives
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current licensure as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) from an accredited program (Master’s or Doctorate)
- National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
- State APRN licensure
- Minimum two years of experience caring for pediatric patients with ventricular assist devices
- BLS and PALS certification (required prior to start date)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
