Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying, documenting, and supporting the medical needs of children suspected of being victims of abuse. The role includes ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studies as needed, as well as conducting follow-up exams to ensure the ongoing well-being of patients. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) also performs medical evaluations for children entering foster care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide thorough, compassionate care and documentation.

Additional required certifications include an active Board Certification, Nurse Practitioner Furnishing (NPF) license number, DEA certification for controlled substances (II-V), CURES registration, and Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in child abuse pediatrics and forensic exams is required, ensuring the provider is well-prepared for the unique challenges of this role.
