Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and health assessments for pediatric patients

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with clinical guidelines and state regulations
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and treatment adherence
- Collaborate with pediatricians, nurses, and allied health professionals for coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program
- Active and unrestricted PNP or APRN license
- Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP-BC or CPNP)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric assessment, diagnosis, and management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
