About the RoleIn the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) role, you will be responsible for providing primary care services to a diverse pediatric patient population. Your daily responsibilities will include conducting well-child visits, performing physical exams, administering immunizations, and providing preventive health education to families. You will also diagnose and manage common pediatric illnesses and injuries, ensuring individualized care that aligns with evidence-based practice standards. The full-time schedule allows you to build continuity with patients and participate in family-centered care.
- Perform routine pediatric examinations, including well-child checks and developmental screenings.
- Administer immunizations and provide guidance on vaccine schedules.
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as appropriate.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and medical assistants.
- Educate patients and families on growth, development, nutrition, and preventive health practices.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with a focus on pediatric care (PNP credentials preferred).
- Demonstrated passion for delivering patient-centered pediatric care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary care team.
