Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical care for pediatric patients in the ICU setting
- Perform critical procedures including Code Blues, intubation, ventilator management, lumbar puncture, and placement of lines
- Monitor, evaluate, and manage patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated care
- Respond effectively to emergent situations and implement life-saving interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in accordance with facility protocols
- Provide guidance and education to patients' families regarding care plans and recovery expectations

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner license; state licensure preferred, but flexibility available for qualified candidates
- Required certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification is a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in pediatric critical procedures including Code Blues, intubation, ventilator management, lumbar puncture, and line placement
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work 24-hour shifts in a high-acuity environment
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement
