As a Pediatric CVICU Nurse Practitioner (NP, PA-C), you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing the care of critically ill pediatric patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). Pediatric CVICU Nurse Practitioner (NP, PA-C) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric patients in the Cardiac ICU, including those recovering from neonatal surgeries, VAD placement, and heart transplants.
- Perform advanced clinical procedures and interventions as appropriate for critically ill pediatric patients.
- Initiate and manage treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust therapies, and document care in accordance with hospital protocols and best practices.
- Participate in daily rounds, family meetings, and care conferences to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and recovery processes.
- Support quality improvement initiatives within the CVICU to enhance patient safety and outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master's in Physician Assistant Services from an accredited program.
- Current national certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through the American Heart Association.
- Active prescriptive authority within 30 days of onboarding.
- Active state license as an Advanced Practice Provider in Oklahoma.
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric critical care, cardiac ICU, or a related acute care setting is highly desirable.
