Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist pediatric cardiac surgeons in the operating room during complex heart surgeries and transplants.
- Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease.
- Provide perioperative and postoperative care, including monitoring vital signs, managing medications, and coordinating multidisciplinary recovery plans.
- Participate in rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and long-term management of congenital heart conditions.
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians and ensure accurate and complete documentation in electronic medical records.
- Respond to on-call responsibilities in a 1:4 rotation, providing expert support during urgent or emergent situations.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
