Palm Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric NP, CPNP-AC) or Physician Assistant to join our specialized pediatric cardiac care team on a contract basis. The Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric NP, CPNP-AC) will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care for children in a 6-8 bed floor unit. As a valued member of this pioneering initiative, you will implement and manage care plans, perform advanced procedures, and support families through the complexities of cardiac recovery. Your expertise will be essential in managing post-operative pediatric patients, including performing procedures such as line pulls, titration of drips, and other advanced practice interventions required for acute yet stable pediatric patients outside the intensive care setting.
This role requires a minimum of one year’s experience in pediatric critical care as an advanced practice provider. The ideal candidate will hold an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification (CPNP-AC) or be a Physician Assistant with comparable pediatric cardiac or critical care experience. The position offers flexible 12-13 hour shifts, encompassing days, overnights, and weekends with a requirement for availability for a minimum of eight shifts every four weeks. Rapid credentialing ensures a seamless onboarding process for qualified candidates eager to make a difference in pediatric healthcare.
Our contract engagement is set for an initial 13-week period, with potential for extension based on the evolving needs of the unit and performance.
