PC Technician - Summary
As a PC Technician, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of IT hardware, from order fulfillment and imaging new devices to asset tracking and quality control. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a solid understanding of IT asset management systems. You will be entrusted with fulfilling IT hardware orders, imaging new PCs for deployment, maintaining accurate records in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and ensuring that all IT assets are accounted for and properly managed. Your contributions will directly support the smooth operation of the organization's technology infrastructure and enhance overall productivity.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Efficiently fulfill IT hardware orders, ensuring timely processing and accurate shipment of devices.
- Image and prepare new PCs for deployment, meeting the daily goal of imaging at least 10 PCs to support organizational needs.
- Receive and update IT asset records, maintaining meticulous tracking within the CMDB to guarantee asset accuracy.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance and quality control checks on IT hardware prior to deployment to minimize user issues.
- Organize and assign IT assets within the system, ensuring all equipment is properly logged and easily accessible for team members.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to streamline asset management processes and support ongoing technology initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with internal IT policies and relevant regulatory requirements related to hardware and asset management.
