Payroll Specialist - Summary
- The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll for a diverse employee population, including union and non-union staff.
- This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and data security.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls for a workforce exceeding 60,000 employees across multiple regions.
- Ensure payroll accuracy by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing financial and employee data.
- Manage employee data entry, execute payroll runs, and prepare detailed payroll reports as required.
- Handle manual payroll checks and stop payments in a timely and compliant manner.
- Conduct regular payroll audits and data analysis to maintain the integrity of payroll operations.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and implement process improvements.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to payroll inquiries via email and phone communication.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations, software updates, and organizational policies.

Qualifications & Requirements
- GED or High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree or Technical Training preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing or data entry, preferably with exposure to payroll systems such as ADP or Kronos.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and strong organizational capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
