The Payroll Analyst – CAPPS, PeopleSoft is responsible for providing expert consultative support and advanced functional assistance for the CAPPS HR/PY Payroll module within PeopleSoft 9.2 Payroll. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring the integrity and accuracy of payroll processes, configurations, and reporting, collaborating closely with Time & Labor and Human Resources teams. Payroll Analyst – CAPPS, PeopleSoft Summary
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the CAPPS HR/PY Payroll module within PeopleSoft 9.2 Payroll.
- Provide advanced consultative and functional support to maintain and optimize payroll processes across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate payroll execution and compliance with regulatory standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver senior-level consultative services and act as the primary functional expert for the CAPPS Payroll module.
- Manage and maintain payroll system configurations, supporting the entire payroll cycle including pay calendar creation, paysheet management, payroll calculation, confirmation, and post-confirmation auditing.
- Resolve payroll issues promptly, ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing and data integrity.
- Collaborate with Time & Labor and Human Resources teams to support end-to-end payroll processes, audits, and executive reporting.
- Implement system configuration changes, leveraging technical tools such as App Designer, Integration Broker, SQR/SQL, BI Publisher, and SAP Business Objects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal payroll policies and security standards, including NIST and multi-tenancy requirements for statewide ERP instances.
- Support audit processes by preparing and reviewing payroll reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance payroll operations and reporting accuracy.
