As a Payroll Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to support the payroll team with in-depth analysis and processing of payroll data. You will be entrusted to verify payroll tax applications, lead the reconciliation of payroll tax accounts, and research changes in payroll tax laws to guarantee ongoing compliance. Working closely with IT and Human Resources, you will help configure and optimize the Kronos timekeeping system, ensuring seamless data integration and accurate time tracking. You will also be responsible for setting up new locations with local tax withholding obligations, managing registrations with local agencies, and filing local services tax returns. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to provide clear, accurate guidance on payroll tax matters to various stakeholders across the organization.
The Payroll Analyst position values excellent customer service skills, as you will regularly interact with internal team members, business partners, and other stakeholders to address payroll-related inquiries. Your ability to communicate complex payroll concepts clearly and professionally is essential. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be called on to leverage your proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word to analyze large volumes of data and generate insightful payroll reports.
Ideal candidates for the Payroll Analyst position will have hands-on experience with Kronos and ADP Enterprise payroll systems, as well as strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
