Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Patient Services Representative:
Serve as the primary contact for patient interactions, both in person and over the phone, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying demographics and insurance details, collecting co-pays, and providing receipts.
Schedule appointments, complete patient registration, and handle referrals and authorizations across various insurance types.
Maintain accurate records in CS-Link/Epic and assist with patient/provider correspondence.
Ensure workspace cleanliness by adhering to department sanitation guidelines.
Required Skills for Patient Services Representative:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be flu vaccinated, with no exemptions or declinations.
At least one year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting.
Proficiency in medical insurance processes, referral handling, and benefit plan understanding.
Ability to comprehend and follow detailed oral and written instructions.
