Patient Service Representative (PSR) - Summary
- Acts as the initial point of contact for patients, providing courteous and efficient service
- Supports the entire patient experience by managing registration, appointment scheduling, and workflow documentation
- Collaborates closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate information flow and optimal patient care

Duties & Responsibilities
- Meet project deadlines related to build requirements and implementation milestones
- Document build and design decisions in designated project tracking tools and locations
- Participate actively in workgroup design and build sessions, contributing insights and recommendations
- Provide feedback and suggestions based on Epic Foundation build to enhance operational efficiency
- Complete assigned application tasks in alignment with implementation project timelines and phases
- Engage in workflow analysis, build, and documentation in collaboration with internal and external team members
- Facilitate patient registration, appointment scheduling, and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information as per HIPAA and organizational policies
- Support clinical staff by ensuring accurate and timely entry of patient information into electronic medical records
- Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff regarding administrative processes and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of inpatient and outpatient registration and scheduling environments
- Understanding of hospital operations, procedures, and the interrelationships between functions
- Solid knowledge of registration and scheduling workflows, and their integration with clinical processes and practices
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably Epic
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with proven ability to meet project deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all regulatory requirements
