This full-time position is a critical component of the laboratory’s success in delivering high-quality diagnostic services. As a Pathology Assistant (PA), you will work closely with board-certified pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure accurate gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens. Pathology Assistant (PA), Pathologist Assistant - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform gross examination, dissection, and dictation of surgical specimens, ensuring precision and accuracy in all tasks.
- Maintain accurate specimen identification and thorough documentation throughout the examination process.
- Collaborate with board-certified pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely turnaround of cases and delivery of diagnostic information.
- Strictly adhere to all CAP (College of American Pathologists), CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments), and facility compliance and safety standards.
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the laboratory, supporting continuous enhancement of patient care and lab efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification required for all applicants.
- Demonstrated experience grossing large surgical specimens within a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
- Prior employment as a Pathology Assistant (PA) or Pathologist Assistant with a proven track record of excellence.
- No requirement for hospital MSO (Medical Staff Office) privileges for this assignment.
- Ability to adhere to strict compliance and safety guidelines in a laboratory environment.

- This is an onsite, non-telehealth role; presence in the laboratory is required for all duties.
