Paramedic (NREMT, NRP) - Summary
- Provide advanced pre-hospital and inter-facility critical care transport for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuous and safe patient care during emergency and routine transports.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills and judgment in high-acuity healthcare settings.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a core member of a Specialty Care Team, delivering comprehensive clinical care to critically ill patients.
- Conduct long-distance critical care patient transfers to higher-level hospitals and medical centers.
- Administer critical care medications, monitor infusion equipment, and calculate accurate dosages.
- Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment, such as resuscitators, defibrillators, electrocardiographs, and ventilation devices.
- Perform complex procedures, including Rapid Sequence Induction, cardioversion, and surgical cricothyrotomy.
- Manage traumatic injuries, provide pediatric and obstetric care, perform emergency childbirth, and carry out newborn resuscitation.
- Inventory, clean, disinfect, and restock medical supplies and equipment after each patient call.
- Assist the Emergency Department with patient assessments, medication administration, blood sampling, intravenous access, and intubation.
- Document all care, medications, and procedures in line with established protocols and charting procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited NREMT program.
- Current and valid certification as an NREMT, NRAEMT, or NRP from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians or equivalent state EMT certification.
- Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Valid emergency vehicle/ambulance operator license.
- At least twelve (12) months of experience as an NR-P after graduation.
