The Paramedic (EMT-P, NRP) will serve as a key member of the Specialty Care Team, responsible for delivering advanced critical care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients during high-acuity inter-facility transports and emergency scenarios. In this role, you will leverage expert clinical judgment, proficiency in advanced procedures, and knowledge of specialized equipment to provide continuous and safe patient care across transport and hospital environments. Paramedic (EMT-P, NRP) - Summary
- Serve on a Specialty Care Team to provide advanced critical care during inter-facility transports and emergency operations.
- Work with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in high-acuity settings.
- Utilize expert clinical judgment and advanced medical equipment to ensure patient safety and positive health outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized care using intensive monitoring and critical care skills for critically ill patients across surgical, medical, and pediatric populations.
- Conduct long-distance inter-facility patient transfers, ensuring continuity of care during transport to higher-level medical centers.
- Administer critical care medications, requiring advanced understanding of dosing, effects, and specialized infusion equipment.
- Operate advanced medical devices such as resuscitators, defibrillators, electrocardiographs, oxygen apparatus, IV pumps, rapid infusers, and ventilators.
- Provide emergent care, including oxygen therapy, IV fluids, blood transfusions, and medication administration by various routes (IV, IO, subcutaneous, IM, oral, rectal).
- Perform complex, potentially life-saving procedures including Rapid Sequence Induction, cardioversion, and surgical cricothyrotomy.
- Respond to and treat traumatic injuries and prepare patients for transport.
- Deliver pediatric and obstetric care, including advanced assessment, emergency childbirth, and newborn resuscitation.
- Maintain and inventory medical supplies and equipment, ensuring readiness and compliance with sanitary standards.
- Document patient care, medication administration, and equipment use in line with established protocols.
- Assist in providing care within the Emergency Department as needed, within the Paramedic (EMT-P, NRP) scope of practice.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate from an accredited National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) program.
- Current certification as an NREMT, NRAEMT, or Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians or applicable state EMT certification.
- Valid license to operate emergency vehicles/ambulances.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- At least 12 months of experience practicing as a Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) after graduation.
