Paralegal - Summary
- Serve as an in-house legal resource, supporting compliance and legal operations for construction, engineering, and technology projects.
- Partner with leadership and outside counsel to oversee and improve corporate legal documentation and processes.
- Drive process improvements, legal standards, and technology adoption within the legal department.
- Contribute subject matter expertise in construction-adjacent legal processes, contract law, and compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance and legal operations for integration, controls, and energy projects.
- Maintain and update corporate documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with company leadership and external counsel to ensure adherence to legal standards and best practices.
- Drive continuous process improvements and establish legal guidelines across the organization.
- Support the evaluation, selection, and integration of legal technology solutions to improve efficiency.
- Apply subject matter expertise to construction-related legal matters, including contract law, public procurement, and data privacy/security clauses.
- Assist with risk management, insurance/indemnity provisions, and multi-state compliance issues.
- Provide clear communication and excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage high volumes of legal work, prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or a related field (required).
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate (required).
- At least seven years of progressively responsible paralegal experience, including a minimum of three years in construction, engineering, technology contracting, or related industries (required).
- Proficiency with contract management systems, Microsoft 365, and document redlining tools (required).
- Comprehensive knowledge of contract law, public procurement, insurance/indemnity provisions, multi-state compliance, and data privacy/security clauses (required).
- Demonstrated ability to select and implement contract management software.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume, and time-sensitive legal environments.
