Painter - Summary
- Responsible for preparing, priming, and painting interior and exterior surfaces to improve aesthetics and protect structures.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and other team members to meet deadlines and specifications.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and quality control standards throughout each project.
- Contribute to creating clean, safe, and visually pleasing environments across various settings.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect surfaces and determine the appropriate methods and materials for painting projects.
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, repairing cracks, and masking adjacent surfaces as needed.
- Apply primers, paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired shade and finish.
- Protect non-paintable surfaces with drop cloths, tape, and plastic sheeting.
- Monitor work to ensure high-quality application, uniform coverage, and adherence to customer specifications.
- Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools after each use.
- Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with other team members and communicate progress and concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, hours worked, and project completion details.
