Pain Management Physician - Summary
- Serve as a clinical expert in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients experiencing acute and chronic pain.
- Work as part of a collaborative healthcare team to develop comprehensive pain management plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and evidence-based therapies to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical exams focused on pain-related conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized pain management plans, integrating pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies.
- Perform interventional pain procedures as appropriate and within the scope of licensure and training.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, psychologists, and other specialists, to provide holistic patient care.
- Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Educate patients and families about pain management options, treatment goals, and potential risks or side effects.
- Stay current with advancements in pain medicine through ongoing education and participation in professional development activities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Pain Management or related specialty.
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice as a physician in WI, or ability to obtain licensure.
- Demonstrated experience in pain management, including both pharmacological and interventional approaches.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
