Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Summary
- Permanent, full-time role in a comprehensive pain management clinic
- Responsible for direct patient care, consultations, and follow-up evaluations
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and advanced practice providers
- Engage in both pharmacologic and interventional pain management methods
- Serve patients of all ages with chronic and acute pain conditions
- Work across two closely situated medical facilities
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient consultations and follow-up assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans
- Coordinate care with other community physicians, specialists, and healthcare providers to ensure holistic treatment
- Manage medications and develop individualized pharmacologic pain management plans
- Perform and assist with spinal and peripheral interventional procedures, including injections guided by ultrasound and fluoroscopy, under physician supervision as appropriate
- Participate in trial procedures for implanted infusion pumps and neurostimulation devices
- Promote the clinic’s services and build referral relationships within the community
- Monitor an average caseload of 10–14 patients per day, ensuring timely and efficient care
- Collaborate in a team environment with two physicians and multiple NPs/PAs
- Split time between two locations within close proximity to facilitate patient care
- Provide empathetic support, education, and counseling to patients and their families
- Document all patient interactions and procedures in compliance with organizational protocols and legal standards

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in good standing
- Certification from an accredited NP or PA program
- Prior clinical experience in pain management, anesthesiology, neurology, or related specialties preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience with interventional procedures and pain management modalities is advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
