Otolaryngologist (ENT) Locum Tenens - Summary
- Provide comprehensive otolaryngology (ENT) services as a locum tenens physician in a Level 1 Trauma Center, supporting both adult and pediatric patient populations.
- Engage in flexible shift coverage, including night and 24-hour options, and become an integral member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Opportunity to work with a strong support staff and access advanced hospital resources for optimal patient care delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver expert clinical care, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting with ENT-related conditions and emergencies.
- Manage both adult and pediatric cases, providing surgical and non-surgical intervention as required by the acuity of cases encountered in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting.
- Perform trauma-level procedures and operate in the OR as needed; ability to work effectively without dedicated block OR time.
- Handle a patient census of 15-25 treatments per day, including new consults and follow-up clinic visits, with flexibility for increased patient capacity as needed.
- Participate in night and 24-hour shift coverage, collaborating with a full hospital support team and 24/7 anesthesia availability.
- Document all patient interactions and procedures using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Maintain high standards of care and adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in otolaryngology.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Otolaryngology (ENT).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology (ENT).
- Active medical license in New York State.
- Active DEA registration in New York, or willingness to transfer existing registration.
- Experience and confidence in managing trauma-level acuity and performing OR procedures in both adult and pediatric populations.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR or willingness to learn hospital documentation systems.
