IDR is seeking a OT/ICS Cybersecurity Architect to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Houston, TX. This role involves leading the design and implementation of secure OT/ICS architectures within a field highly focused on industrial cybersecurity and infrastructure protection.
Position Overview for the OT/ICS Cybersecurity Architect:
- Lead the design and implementation of secure OT/ICS architectures, including network segmentation, secure remote access, and integration with enterprise IT security controls
- Develop and maintain security reference architectures, blueprints, and roadmaps aligned with industry standards such as NIST 800-82 and IEC 62443
- Evaluate, select, and deploy OT/ICS cybersecurity technologies, including tools such as Claroty, Palo Alto Networks, Cradlepoint, CrowdStrike, BeyondTrust, Cisco, ServiceNow, Splunk, and TxOne
- Conduct security validation and acceptance testing to ensure OT systems meet defined security requirements and best practices
- Perform consequence-based risk assessments (e.g., Cyber PHA) to identify, analyze, and prioritize cyber risks within OT environments
Requirements for the OT/ICS Cybersecurity Architect:
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on OT/ICS environments
- Proven experience designing and implementing OT security architectures in industrial settings
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Claroty, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, BeyondTrust, and SIEM platforms like Splunk
- Strong understanding of industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC) and OT network architectures
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies (e.g., Cyber PHA)
