Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon (MD/DO) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform surgical interventions for traumatic injuries involving the musculoskeletal system, including complex fractures and soft tissue injuries
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including emergency medicine, anesthesiology, and rehabilitation services
- Develop and implement patient-centric treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
- Participate in regular trauma rounds, case discussions, and continuous medical education opportunities
- Supervise and mentor residents, fellows, and other clinical staff as required
- Ensure accurate documentation of surgical procedures, patient progress, and postoperative care
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of trauma protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team regarding treatment options and recovery expectations

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or board eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma preferred
- Valid, unrestricted medical license or eligibility to obtain such license
- Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic trauma and surgical management of musculoskeletal injuries
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
