Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist orthopedic surgeons during surgical procedures, including as First Assist in the main operating room and surgery center
- Support pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including patient assessments and follow-ups
- Participate in outpatient orthopedic clinics, providing evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment under physician supervision
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members
- Document medical histories, surgical notes, and progress reports accurately and timely
- Assist with patient education, rehabilitation planning, and discharge instructions
- Ensure compliance with all policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and confidentiality

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) required
- Licensure as a Physician Assistant eligible for practice
- Demonstrated experience in orthopedic surgery, specifically as First Assist in main operating rooms and surgery centers
- Strong clinical skills in pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic practice preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
